TERMS OF SERVICE/STORE POLICY

Please read AYABA policies guiding the subjects below carefully before placing your order.

COLOR

We strive to deliver exactly what is being displayed on our website and social media sales channels however due to the effect of photography, a slight variance between what is seen and the real life product is expected as camera settings and photography conditions often times change the shade of certain colors and fabrics.

FABRIC

As a growing business our fabrics are locally sourced. This means that we work with batches of fabric per time and there is likely to be a slight variance in color shade or texture of fabric once one batch of fabric is finished and we move on to the next batch to produce our garments.

GARMENT

Once an order is placed, each garment is hand-cut and locally sewn by the Ayaba production team. In the case of human errors while producing the garment, you may return it for an exchange or store credit in line with our return policy. We do not provide refunds. Please read full return policy below.

SIZING

We typically use UK sizing for our garments with the equivalent of the US size displayed in the size option. Please refer to the size chart for the measurements used for each size. If you fall in between sizes, in certain cases IF POSSIBLE we might be able to custom fit the bust, waist and hip measurements for you at no extra cost. For custom fitted items select the size closest to your measurement and include your bust, waist, and hip measurements (in inches) in the'Order Notes' section at checkout. PLEASE NOTE AYABA IS UNDER NO OBLIGATION TO CUSTOM FIT YOUR ITEMS AND IS NOT LIABLE IF UNABLE TO DO SO.

Please ensure you send us your accurate measurements as we do not accept returns nor offer refunds or exchanges on custom fitted items.

CUSTOM COLOUR SELECTIONS

Please note that custom colour selection is subject to market availability of the specified colour in the kind of fabric used to make the outfit as we do not stock colours other than those listed. Please note colour specifications will possibly come with a change in the texture of fabric. If you have a specific colour shade in mind pls send an email to ayabacreations@gmail.com with your name, the order number, the item you ordered and a picture of the shade desired (videos are not acceptable as colour hues change in motion). In the case where the specific colour/shade isn't available in the kind of fabric used (linen for example), the closest colour available in that kind of fabric will be used. 

Please ensure you are fine with the terms above before placing an order as we do not accept returns nor offer refunds, store credit or exchanges on garments which have been customised.

GARMENT AMENDMENTS

Subject to time and personnel availability we MAY be able to provide you with alterations to your AYABA garments AT A COST in the case where you erroneously selected the wrong size, provided the wrong measurement or you selected the right size according to the size chart but you desire a looser or tighter fit. Contact us by sending an email to hello@ayabawoman.com and we’ll guide you on how to go about this.

PROCESSING TIME

With the exception of a few items, our garments are locally produced on demand by our in-house production team in Lagos Nigeria before they are shipped out to your respective locations. After payment for your order has been made in full, please allow up to 3-20 business days for the making and delivery of your garment(s) depending on the location. Except in exceptionally busy and festive periods, orders are dispatched:

  • 3-10 business days after placing an order and making full payment for ready-ship items within North America.
  • 3-10 business days after placing an order and making full payment within Lagos.
  • 10-15 business days after placing an order and making full payment to other states within Nigeria.
  • 10-20 business days after placing an order and making full payment for worldwide deliveries.

During exceptionally busy and festive periods, deliveries could be delayed. Please bear with us as new expected delivery timelines would be communicated by the team.

PACKAGING

AYABA offers eco-friendly and sustainable packaging made of recycled zip locks, brown paper bags and cardboard boxes. The packaging your item will be delivered in varies and is dependent on the order size. We also offer gift packaging for special orders, simply add “GIFT PACKAGING” in the 'Order Notes' section at checkout. You will be contacted to make additional payment for this special packaging.

SHIPPING AND CUSTOMS/IMPORT DUTIES

We make use of third-party shipping companies to fulfil your orders as such delivery costs may change without prior notice due to inflations in the industry. Unless otherwise stated, we ship from Lagos Nigeria, as such international shipping may be subject to the assessment of duties and taxes imposed by the recipient country’s government. These import duties are not calculated nor collected by us at the point of purchase as we have no way of estimating what these costs would be. In the case where it applies, you will be required to pay such customs and import duties in order for your delivery to be successfully fulfilled by our delivery partners. AYABA is not liable for any customs or import duties.

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

We ONLY offer the option of cash refunds for sold out purchases. For all other applicable return scenarios we offer store credit with which you can use to purchase another AYABA outfit.

For applicable returns, we have a 14 day return policy, which mean all items must be returned within 14 days after delivery for an exchange or store credit. For eligible returns, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn, unwashed and in its original packaging with original tags attached. Items that do not meet these conditions will be refused and returned to the shipper’s address on file. To book a return, email us at hello@ayabawoman.com with your Order Number as the subject and a rep will be in touch. For in store purchases, you will be required to send us the receipt or proof of purchase.

Please read below for applicable and non-applicable return scenarios.

Sold-out Purchase:

If a sold-out item is purchased, you will be notified by the team as soon as possible and offered a suitable replacement, store credit, or a full cash refund.

Sale Purchase:

All sale and discounted items are FINAL SALE. We do not accept returns, refunds, exchanges or store credit for all items purchased on sale.

Customised Purchase:

We do not accept returns, refunds, exchanges or store credit on customised items that have been made to the measurements or colour provided by you.  Please ensure you send us your accurate measurements.​

Faulty Purchase or Wrong Order Delivered:

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you received the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right (this doesn’t include a scenario where you erroneously ordered the wrong size. Please refer to size chart before placing an order). Such complaints must be made within 48 hours of delivery by sending an email to ayabacreations@gmail.com and a rep will be in touch.

Return Cost:

All customers willing to return items are responsible for return shipping fees. We advice that you make use of a service that provides tracked shipping to ensure that we receive your item. Kindly make all applicable customs payment when sending out your return as we are unable to do so for you.
